Holistic + realistic nutrition support for digestive health
Digestive symptoms can take over your day in quiet but persistent ways. We provide nutrition counseling for people dealing with IBS, bloating, reflux, constipation, diarrhea, and ongoing digestive discomfort who want support that is thoughtful, weight-inclusive, and grounded in real life, not rigid gut rules.
Root-cause without restriction means we care about why you feel the way you do — but we also care about how you feel right now. We reduce symptoms, build resilience, and explore contributing factors together, without rigid food rules or fear-based protocols.
Understanding digestion in context
Digestion is shaped by far more than what you eat. Our approach is not about fixing your gut or chasing a perfect protocol. We take time to understand what your body has been responding to and why symptoms may be showing up the way they are.
Care is collaborative and adaptive. We move slowly enough to reduce flares and overwhelm while building steadier patterns over time.
In sessions, we often look at:
How symptoms actually unfold
When discomfort shows up, how long it lasts, what helps, and what makes it worse, rather than assuming a single trigger.
The gut–brain connection
How stress, anxiety, burnout, and nervous system load can affect motility, sensitivity, and digestion.
Eating patterns that support digestion
Focusing on regular nourishment, adequacy, and flexibility without restriction or fear-based food rules.
Who this support is for
This work may be a good fit if you want relief from GI symptoms but feel hesitant about restrictive gut plans or elimination diets.
Digestive nutrition counseling often supports people who:
Have been diagnosed with IBS or suspect it
Feel bloated or uncomfortable after eating
Experience constipation, diarrhea, or alternating bowel patterns
Deal with reflux, nausea, or early fullness
Feel anxious around food because symptoms feel unpredictable
Have tried gut protocols that worsened symptoms or food fear
Want care that does not focus on weight loss or cutting foods
Need help eating consistently when symptoms flare
You do not need a clear diagnosis or a perfect symptom list to start. Many clients come in simply knowing that their digestion feels off and wanting a different approach.

In-person appointments feel overwhelming

You want to receive care without travel or added stress
Telehealth nutrition counseling is available to clients in New England and additional states, depending on licensure and insurance coverage.
Our assessment process
Before your first appointment, we carefully review your welcome packet so we can come in already familiar with your history and concerns.
During the first one to three sessions, we take time to really understand the full picture. This includes your medical history, current symptoms, lived experiences, and anything that may be contributing to or worsening how you’re feeling. We ask thoughtful, thorough questions not to overwhelm you, but to make sure nothing important is missed.
From there, we create a personalized plan tailored to you. This may include nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, targeted supplements when appropriate, and suggestions for additional testing if it would help clarify what’s going on beneath the surface. When needed, we also collaborate with or refer to other providers to ensure you’re getting comprehensive, well-coordinated care.
Our goal is to move at a pace that feels supportive, not rushed, and to build a plan that actually fits your body and your life.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
We rarely use elimination diets. We only consider them when testing, symptoms, or someone’s medical or family history suggest they may be clinically helpful. We may also consider short-term adjustments if advanced testing indicates a significant inflammatory response.
That said, we do not routinely use the low FODMAP diet. In our experience, when we focus on identifying root causes and supporting digestion directly, including the strategic use of enzyme support like FODMATE when appropriate, a full low FODMAP protocol is rarely necessary. Our goal is always to minimize unnecessary restriction while still addressing symptoms in a thoughtful, evidence-informed way.
